For successful implementation of the Just-in-Time Teaching strategy, it is essential that the student responses critically inform the lesson flow in class. Unless students are convinced that their work is an essential component of the lesson, they will soon stop contributing. In that case, the warmups and other JiTT assignments will do more damage than good; at the very least they will reinforce the cynicism that we all fight in the classroom.

Please contribute examples of successes and disappointments from your classroom efforts.
